Kitchen Safety

We've just finished our kitchen safety unit in Food & Nutrition. Hopefully you've learned a few new things. I want you to think about the things we've covered. What is one new principle you've learned that you think is important enough to put into action. If you didn't learn anything new, what is something you could do better at as you work in the kitchen.

(Please post your comment using only your first name and possibly an initial. Remember to use correct spelling and grammar)

  6. I have learned to not defrost your meat by just setting it on the counter. Some ways you should defrost your meat is put it in the fridge, put it in cold water replacing the water every thirty mins, and putting it in the mircrowave. Properly defrosting the meat helps to lesson the risk of e-coli.
