When will the mock interviews be?
B2 & B3: Tuesday, December 15
A3 : Wednesday, December 16
B1: Thursday, December 17
What job am I applying for?
You choose a job that you believe you would be qualified for at this point in your life. When you go in for your interview you will tell them what job you are applying for.
Who will be interviewing me?
There will be a number of people who will be conducting the interviews. These may include representatives from the Division of Workforce Services, local businessmen and women, or school administrators. You will be assigned to your interviewer on the day on the interview.
How do I need to dress for my interview?
Men need to wear dark dress pants with dark dress shoes and socks. They should wear a dress shirt, preferably long-sleeved and white, with a conservative tie. Their hair should be combed and they should be clean-shaven. No piercings are acceptable for men. Extra credit for wearing a suit.
Women should wear either dark dress pants or a dark skirt. If wearing a shirt, they should wear pantyhose. Shoes should be dark with closed toes. A solid color, modest blouse or sweater is appropriate. Long hair should be pulled back from face. Jewelry and makeup should be conservative. Women will receive extra credit for wearing a skirt and/or suit.
What do I need to bring to the interview?
Please bring a copy of your resume. After the interview it will be turned in to Mrs. Lemon-Kitchen for grading. For more information on how your resume will be graded, please see the resume scoring guide in an earlier post on this blog.
How much is all this worth?
The interview itself is worth 65 points. The professional dress and resume are both worth 55 points each.
